What's new in the house

Improvements and fixes, noted as they land. Geoffrey updates himself; nothing to install.

v1.9

Plan an occasion, and tell me your preferences as we go

New
  • Occasions: a birthday dinner, guests on Saturday, a long weekend away. Plan a single occasion on its own, with its own number of covers and its own basket, without touching the week.
  • Preferences in the plan wizard: cuisines to lean towards, ingredients to avoid, how much time you have on which nights. Set them once while planning and I will keep them for next time.
Fixed
  • Wizard: the household size is now remembered between plans rather than asked every time.

v1.8

Picnic joins the household, and a quieter Today screen

New
  • Picnic: connect a Picnic account in the Netherlands, Germany or France and I will fill that basket too. Households on the Household and Estate plans can keep more than one supermarket connected.
  • Today: tonight's menu now sits at the top, with a single line to plan the week when nothing is planned yet.
Fixed
  • Reconnecting: a supermarket that had signed you out is now called out plainly on Today, rather than failing silently at the basket.

v1.7

Recipes you describe from memory, and ratings after dinner

New
  • Describe a dish: no link needed. Tell me roughly what your mother made and I will write it up as a proper recipe for you to correct.
  • Ratings: a star rating on each recipe once it has been cooked. The plan leans towards what the house liked.
  • Source link: every imported recipe keeps a link back to the page it came from.
Fixed
  • Recipe pages behind consent banners are now read correctly instead of returning the cookie notice as an ingredient.
  • Serves: scaling a recipe from 2 to 4 no longer doubles the salt.

v1.6

Product memory

New
  • Your favourite products: a new tab listing what you actually buy, how often, and which staples are running low.
  • Swaps are remembered: replace a product once in the basket and I will choose it next time without asking.
  • Never again: mark a product or ingredient and it will not reappear in any plan.
Fixed
  • Basket totals now use the supermarket's current price, including offers, rather than last week's.

v1.5

Nutrition targets and a calendar that knows when you are out

New
  • Nutrition targets: set protein, fibre or calorie targets per person and the week is drafted to meet them. Estate plan.
  • Calendar: connect a calendar and evenings marked out stay empty in the plan. No dinner is bought for a night nobody is home.
Fixed
  • Plan wizard: going back a step no longer forgets the household size.
  • Chat: “make Thursday vegetarian” now changes Thursday, not the whole week.

v1.4

Geoffrey moves to your phone

New
  • iOS and Android: Today, Plan, Recipes, Products, Chat and Settings, in your pocket. The week you planned on the web is already there.
  • Migros: the Swiss supermarket connected, with the basket filled and handed to you at checkout.
